Final year is just behind a corner and I feel like I can do it!

I was thinking about what I can actually do in my final year for last few months and it's probably not going to be a surprise if I would say that I am going to make a collection. Designing and making were always my thing so I will stick to them. An actual surprise might be a fact that I am going to do a sportswear inspired collection! Me, that couch potato is going to design and make sportswear!

But don't worry, it's not going to be designed for any kind of sport. I want it to be designed for someone like me; a person who loves fashion, that is not afraid to wear something unusual but comfortable in the same time as I like to keep myself busy and I don't want any part of my outfit to restrict me.

I know, I know... Anna Dello Russo once said that "fashion is always uncomfortable, if you feel comfortable, you never get the look" but I am about to prove that it can be possible. So far I pretty sure about some fabrics and shapes that I want to use in me collection:

I know that being inspired by something that's been done in fashion already is not the best way to do it but this board is mainly for fabrics. There is a mix of mesh, scuba and neoprene with a pinch of some knitted and lightweight fabrics going in my head. In terms of shape I want to stick to sportswear "vibe" but play a bit more with sizes.

The main problem with me is that instead of going from A to Z I usually start from about K, work my way back to A and then to Z. Oops I did it again... I am missing my main theme... and I feel terrified about it! I need to get the shapes of my garments, for some print ideas; I basically need it for my whole collection! And I know that I need to look beyond just sportswear and fashion but currently I am struggling with where to look at and the fact that whole inspiration development is the biggest part of my grade doesn't help. In the same time I know when that's sorted I will be fine as I have been sewing for last months nearly everyday at my placement, making process will not take long.

I wanted to finish this post off with some examples of main themes but all I think of now is food as I am hungry so I will add it later.

Oh... how about food inspired sportswear collection! Move away guys, new Jeremy Scott is here!x
