Our new collection finally has been launched!
What I am the most proud of is the fact that one of my designs has been used and it's a part of Bottle Blonde S/S 17 collection!
I've been asked to design a swimwear collection for upcoming season and I must say it was a little bit of challenge: it cannot be to complicated as we have to make it to order in a short period of time but not basic in the same time! And I've never designed a swimwear before! So after a good amount of research I've came up with some drawings and one of them was THAT one!
A swimsuit with a little cut out, mini shorts and low back was our favorite so I've got green light for making a sample and it looked something like this!
I must say I was amazed how good it looked after first attempt!
Chloe loved it so we've made it in a few different fabrics:

I was really proud of myself as that was the only design chosen from all of the Bottle Blonde interns! It shows that even without any experience in terms of swimwear I could still do it so it fits the brand perfectly!
Apart from designing I did some cutting and sewing for a few of the other pieces:

They're all made out of different kinds of fabrics and to be honest it takes a little while to get use to all of them but it is a kind of challenge that I like. It made me think about how could I use what I've just learned in my final collection. How about using completely opposite fabrics to create an outfit that gives you completely opposite feelings: light but heavy, weird but comfortable or bright but dark. It is something that I would love to achieve and that opportunity really helped me with understanding what can I do in my third year. x
