It's been over 6 months since I've joined Bottle Blonde team and I think its a right time for a recap.

These last 6 months were really busy. From the end of August when we had lots of orders to catch up with, designing and making a collection for Midlands Fashion Awards, making hundreds of products for Clothes Show, running a business on our own for three weeks when Chloe was away, designing and making samples for new season to working with stylist so our designs can be featured in shoots, music videos and other secret projects.

I always saw myself and a person with strong making skills but last months showed me that I still have a lot to improve with. I would never think about sewing tinsel on and filming it in the same time!

What I definitely learned was how to work with stretch fabrics. I remember making that one pair of leggings at university and how I enjoyed it but in here I have to deal with swimsuits, bikinis, stretchy halter tops and some more leggings! That stretch fabric can make your life easier or ruin it completely and that's what I like about it.

For my good our relationship is going into right direction so I will definitely use stretch fabrics in my final collection.

Speaking about final collection I must say that Bottle Blonde is a right place for looking for inspirations. I had some sort of vision of my final project before I have started my placement year but after working with Chloe I can see what I can improve to make it looking way better.

Working on our own was terrifying me!

The amount of things that you have to deal with when you're self employed is huge and I wish I will never have to do it! Obviously we didn't have to do all of them, going through sales and customer enquiries was enough for me. But still I had that weird feeling that I am in charge of everything so I was stressing myself out without a reason.

What I am definitely better at is my time management. Not like I was doing bad before placement year but working 60+ hours per week in last months surely made me ready for final year. Having non paid, full-time placement and almost full-time job and training for a team leader in the same time has it's good sides!

What I've also achieved is making it to front page of Bottle Blonde website! We had a photoshoot recently for one of our secret project and I've been assigned a model role and I couldn't say no! Things like that always make me feel more confident and building up my courage even more.

One thing that didn't really change but definitely got an 'upgrade' was my style. I was always a crazy one but I feel like Bottle Blonde made me feel good about who I am and it's all because of Chloe. She's a person who hasn't got boundaries in terms of design, styling or inspirations and that's why she's not just my boss but one of my best friends.

And last but not least: future!

I wish I could say: I exactly know what I want to do but it's not that easy. What I know is that I am doing a degree in subject that I love. I don't want to close any door but I feel like print design could be something that I could stay with. Last year at university was my favorite as it was full of print design based projects and I was doing pretty well I think. I must say I haven't done much in terms of it in last months but it will change. If I really want to do it I will work hard to get it. I really don't know how to finish that post so I will just leave you with that gif. It sums up last months of my life perfectly! x
